For Easter - and the first time I met my bf's parents - I decided to make Hot Cross Buns. I saw a recipe on Spatula magazine:
I left out the smarties.
On second thought, trying out something you've never baked before in your life on you new boyfriends parents is probably not the best idea. But my father - who is an expert on hot cross buns, through experience of eating them - said that they were A grade and safe to share.
I should try make them again. See if I can make them look... neater this time around.
