I bought myself a present, or two...

Yuppiechef send me news letters all the time, and I perv over them every time, and today it was just all too much and I felt my resolve fade. The next thing I know I'd added to shopping cart and I was trawling their bakeware pages for more...

Black and White

Duplex apartment in Sweden...

What about 40m2?

This is just lovely...

40 square meters with lots of purple accents.

The best way of zoning is color. It’s really cool when one color can be found in different parts of the room but in various proportions. At this apartment the brightest part is the dining area. Its walls are colored in purple. As you can see the carpet in a kitchen, some upholstery and some small details in a bedroom and a bathroom share this color. The kitchen is separated from the dining room with a sliding partition that doesn’t occupy any space but makes the excellent zoning job. The similar partition separates the bedroom with the living room. Cabinets in the living room have a large glazing area and looks almost weightless. That makes the whole structure looks like simple shelves but there isn’t any dust on books and other side inside.

How about Red?

Doesn't do it for me either.

I think its is far too cheesy.

In Green?

I think not...

Just doesn't do it for me.

What to do with 45m2...

Here is the 45m2 apartment plan...

The pink is a nice touch, wouldn't you say?

Happy Monday!

It's the beginning of a new week. The 26th week of the month, which means we're half way through the year!

I had a shockingly busy weekend full of friends both old and new! It was amazing and when I have pictures, I will share!

It's Friday! (At last)

Kitima at the Kronendal

As the last bit of wine was decanted into my glass last night I knew I would dislike myself in the morning, but sometimes you have to live in the moment - so I was reminded by someone lovely.

Yesterday, Thursday 23rd June, was my dear friend Dirk's 5 year Clean and Serene. (Today, coincidentally it is Drug Awareness day.) Last night a (larger than expected) group of us got together for dinner. Most of us were an hour late. This was Dirk's fault. When he is here from Jozi he operates strictly on Cape Town time. Pity he doesn't apply Cape Town driving.

It was wonderful. We laughed and chatted, teased and giggled. The waiter was lovely - the kind that can actually advise what the yummiest things on the menu are, we were not disappointed. Kitima was, as usual, a delight to the senses with its lavish and metallic interior. I got home at 1am and got up at 6am. I'm exhausted. It must be my old age, I'm sure I dealt with lack of sleep better as a student.

So congratulations, Dirk. Well done on being clean for 5 years now and thank you for all the fantastic memories.

Happy Tuesday!

After having the most awesome weekend away Monday was hardly a day on which I rejoiced and thought "Happy Monday". But, I'm back in the swing of things with a busy week ahead.

Things that must be achieved today:
  • Tattoo Design for Dirk (I have until Thursday)
  • A review of the aesthetic values of the Citroen DS3 (also for Dirk)
  • Posting the letter to Cape Town Traffic Services in which I'm pleading with them to reduce my parking fine
  • Decide if I shall purchase the pole dancing lessons Groupon
  • Beg my someone special to give me the photos from this weekend
It doesn't seem like much, but I do still have to work.

No Roof? No Walls?

I think this is too daring for me, but it is interesting...

See it here and here.
