Recently, I have had the fortune of waking up in a bright Constantia room with sun streaming through the trees right outside the first floor bedroom window and onto the bed I'm sharing... I would love to wake up everyday to leaves rustling outside my window. This house must be awesome to live in...
If you have a look at all the pictures on the site you will see the pink accents. Even the little bit of pink is a little bit too much for me. But you must admire the openness of the house and how all the rooms seem to interact with the surrounding garden. The only thing that I can not appreciate in the library is all the sunlight. Its not that I don't like sunlight, its just... don't you ever want to find a dim little corner to snuggle up in? How can you do that is so much glass? But seriously, that library... Wow.

HUGE Town House...
Very old Neighbours
Ah, I am loving this site. I have found more lovely treasures! This one about very old neighbours. A modern, minimalist house jammed between old town houses in Landskrona.
And it's all over...
Industrial Renovated Loft
This space already was a local stables, a bomb shelter and a print shop. It took only eight months to turn it into a modern living space where industrial and raw materials meet modern ones.

A barn that became a House...
While perusing a lovely blog that I found - thanks to a friend - called Being Brazen I found a post on a barn to house conversion. Feeling the need to share it I went on over to the site A Barn that became a House and grabbed a few more pics to post.
Royal Wedding Day...
So.... who cares that it is the Royal Wedding today? Honestly, two days ago I thought I had missed it. I got back from a road trip (post & photos to come) and I assumed it had happened while I was in the middle of nowhere, drinking tea in a mountain pass with no reception.
I was wrong. Its today. And the hype here in SA has been well, hyper since yesterday afternoon. I listened to everything regarding royal weddings on the radio all day yesterday, and all day today in the run up to the impending nuptials.
Agh, bless. Just look at them.
The girly fairytale believing part of me - which I have suppressed deep, deep inside - can't help by rear its dreamy, optimistic little head and I am finding myself more and more bitter that I am not planted on the couch, in front of the TV watching the ceremony and eating cucumber sammies and drinking tea like most people on my Facebook newsfeed are doing. Actually make the high tea!
No, I'm going to go ask for the afternoon off. Wish me luck. (The answer will without a doubt be no.)
